Description of this AgencyDescription of this Agency
The Ministry for the Arts was established by an Act of Parliament (No.8357) on 13 December 1972.

Following significant machinery of government changes after the election of the first Kennett Government in October 1992, Arts Victoria VA 4416 within the Department
the Department of Arts, Sport and Tourism (VA 3095), DAST) assumed all functions of the Ministry for the Arts.
