  • Function / Content
    This series consists of letter books maintained by the Engineer of Leongatha Waterworks Trust (VA 4725). Letter books were the means by which copies of correspondence despatched from the office were retained for future reference. Letters cover all functions associated with the post of Engineer of the Waterworks Trust.

  • Recordkeeping System
    Correspondence within letter books was arranged in chronological order by the date the letters were sent. Most of the letter books were indexed at the front of each volume.
