Function / Content
This series was an estray handed over to the Public Record Office Victoria in 2002 by Mr Fred Pedelty, former Chief Draftsman for Roads Corporation (also known as VicRoads).
The series comprises plans and lithographs of bridges apparently sent for the use of road engineers in the field.
The plans were created by various agencies responsible for the construction and maintenance of main roads and bridges from ?1855 to ?1898.
The P1 consignment contains plans of bridges over river Hopkins and river Yarra including Queens bridge, Princes bridge, Punt Road bridge, Cremorne bridge, Church Street bridge and Glen Iris bridge.
