  • Function / Content
    This series comprises unregistered files and working papers of the Victorian Government Motor Transport Committee (VA 1832). Registered files of the committee should be found in the central correspondence filing system of the Premiers Department.

    This series documents the activities of the Committee, responsible for controlling the use, purchase and disposal of motor vehicles used by Government departments and authorities. The Committee was administered by the Premiers Department from 1927 to 1984 when the functions of the Committee were transferred to the Government Motor Vehicle Fleet within the Property and Services portfolio.
