  • How to use the Records
    Use Consignments to order the record for the time period required.

  • Function / Content
    This series contains a record of disciplinary action taken against Victorian Railways staff assigned to the Traffic Branch.

    Individual entries occupy a single line across the folio and record the name of the officer, date of appointment and offence, the form of displinary action taken and details of the action meriting punishment.

    It is unclear whether any volumes were created after 1928.

  • Recordkeeping System
    Entires are arranged in chronological order according to the date of action taken. For some reason individual entires on each page are numbered alphabetically.

    Volumes are numbered sequentially. Volumes 2 - 4 have not been transferred to archives and their location is unknown.

    Volumes are not indexed although a partial index exists for punishments issued in 1921.
