  • How to use the Records
    Refer to the consignment details and retrieve the volume for the appropriate year.

  • Function / Content
    This series comprises extant inward correspondence for the period 1849 to 1906. The letters for the years 1849 to 1850 were addressed to the Superintendent of Port Phillip District. Correspondence covers a full range of activities of the Trust.

  • Recordkeeping System
    Letter Books were arranged in sequential number order (1, 2, 3, etc.) marked on the spine of each volume. Letters within the volumes were arranged chronological order by date of the letter.

    No control records were identified at the time of transfer (as at 2007).
