  • How to use the Records
    Refer to the records description list for the relevant microfilm unit.

  • Function / Content
    This record series is a microfilm copy of VPRS 16 Outward Letter Books to Local and Sydney. It was created in order that the original records not be used thus ensuring, as far as possible, their long term preservation.

  • Recordkeeping System
    The microfilm is arranged in the same order as the original record series. Local letters within the Port Phillip District were distinguished from those sent to the Sydney Branch. They were recorded in different books. Within those books the letters were arranged chronologically.
