  • How to use the Records
    This series consists in the P consignment of microfiche which were formerly available in PROV Reading Rooms. They have been replaced by a more complete set from VPRS 15899/P1 Historic Plans Collection [Copy of VPRS 8168] . The R1 consignment consists of Master Copies.

    To locate a plan on the microfiche

    1. Find the papers relating to the run of interest in the Pastoral Run Papers (see VPRS 5920 Pastoral Run Files [Microfiche Copy of VPRS 5359]) . Where a plan has been removed, there is a page with a number. Note the number and find the microfiche containing the plans with that number. This method is not entirely reliable as numbers have been changed.

    OR

    2. Go to VPRS 8164 Microfiche Catalogue Historical Maps and Plans and either browse the listing for the category RUNS in the Plan Number Order of the catalogue OR go to the catalogue as arranged by parish and seek the plan with the prefix RUN and with the title of interest.

    In both cases, note the number and then go to the microfiche which contains the plan of that number.

  • Function / Content
    This series consists of microfiche copies of maps and plans of pastoral runs. These maps and plans were removed from VPRS 5359 Pastoral Run Papers and included in the VPRS 8168 Historic Plan Collection. Details include the location of the run and its boundaries and may show details on the run itself.

    Some plans may be missing due to deterioration beyond repair.

  • Recordkeeping System
    Run Plans are numbered 401-1367. Microfiche copies usually have six (6) plans each.
